Taiwan's first actively managed bond ETF (ABITL IG Corp Income Active ETF) listed on the TPEx , infusing fresh impetus into the Asian Asset Management Center.

Taiwan's bond ETF market has reached a new milestone! The first actively managed bond ETF in Taiwan - the "ABITL IG Corp Income Active ETF" (Ticker: 00980D), issued by AllianceBernstein, listed today (4th) on the Taipei Exchange (TPEx).

To celebrate the launch of Taiwan's first actively managed bond ETF, the TPEx held a grand listing ceremony. The event was graced by distinguished guests, including Ms. Kao Chin-Ping, Deputy Director-General of the Securities and Futures Bureau under the Financial Supervisory Commission; Mr. Ajai Kaul, CEO of AllianceBernstein Asia Pacific; Mr. Wen Chen-Kuo, Chairman of AllianceBernstein Taiwan; as well as market makers and participating securities firms-all gathered to witness this historic moment together.

The TPEx has long been dedicated to promoting the development of the bond ETF market. Currently, there are 94 bond ETFs listed on the TPEx, with total assets under management reaching approximately NT$2.6 trillion, ranking first among exchanges in the Asia-Pacific region. Looking ahead, TPEx will continue to drive product innovation and optimize regulatory frameworks to further enhance the bond ETF ecosystem. In addition, it hopes to see more asset management companies participate in issuing active bond ETFs, creating new opportunities for Taiwan’s capital market and working together to realize the vision of making Taiwan a major asset management hub in Asia.
